Thu Jan 4, 1951 -- Rainy & foggy. Clint & Earl went to Sam's. Edna has been sick with flu for over a week.
Fri Jan 5, 1951 -- Clear and much colder, snow flurries. Clint, Ethel & Brenda went to Woodstock. Cleaned up stair treads and got them laid. We called at Jarvis' evening. Very icy.

Fri Apr 6, 1951 -- Rained most of day. Swept floor & cleaned stove and feel terrible. Ethel in for hour or so. To bed all afternoon. Took bad attack of cramps & diarrhea after supper. Stomach hurts lot. Hedley in all evening.
Sat Apr 7, 1951 -- Some clear, clouding with rain & mist. Up and dressed this a.m. feel some better. Ate quite lot of dinner. Cooked pancakes & hamburger for supper, ate too much, was so empty & faint. Roads terrific. Laid down twice today. Quite a cough.

Sun May 25, 1952 -- Quite warm & clear a.m. clouding over & cooler afternoon. Went to Sam's for Annabelle's birthday which is Tuesday. After we came home, Perley & Arden came to telephone. Wes died tonight. My arm (shoulder) sore and lame.

Wed May 20, 1953 -- Clear, warm. Finished cleaning under stairs and cleaned part of cupboards. Went to young people's play in church hall evening. Earl had 7 teeth out, bleeding lot. Clint brought home & planted yellow flowers.
