Sun Jan 2, 1966 -- 13º, few snow flurries during night, colder SW wind. Attended SS & church a.m. Called few minutes to see Leanna & Michael, they started home after dinner. Called at Jarvis' evening, lunch.

Mon Jan 3, 1966 -- 17º, light snow most of day. Took down Christmas tree & trimmings. Bible class cancelled., slippery roads. Jean in evening, watched TV until late. School started. Wind SE.

Tue Jan 4, 1966 -- 12º, clear, strong wind. Washed, ironed. Read afternoon. Boys in evening watching TV. Clint out evening. NW wind.

Wed Jan 5, 1966 -- 15º, clear, cold breeze. Mixed up doughnuts, mended, shovelled off verandah and path. Cheryl in before supper. Clint out evening.

Thu Jan 6, 1966 -- 8º, cloudy with light snow during day, raw SE wind. Cooked some, read & mended. Kirby in evening. Clint went down for meat on meat truck.

Sat Jan 8, 1966 -- 4º, mostly cloudy with snow beginning in evening. Cooked & cleaned. Perley didn't get home until tonight, worked today.

Sun Jan 9, 1966 -- 12º, cloudy with very strong gusty wind. Attended SS a.m. & church p.m. Cheryl was in car accident with Maxine, Betty & Johnny last night in Woodstock. Perley & Jean to hospital to see here. Boys & Kenny here afternoon.

Mon Jan 10, 1966 -- 4º, mostly cloudy, calm, cold. Washed, cleaned. We went to hospital to see Cheryl evening, she is feeling some better, but in quite bad shape.

Tue Jan 11, 1966 -- 20º, cloudy with light snow and some wind, getting colder. Ironed. Boys in several times.

Wed Jan 12, 1966 -- -7º, clear, strong wind, blowing snow. Shampooed, mended, went up to Jean's few minutes. She went with us up to see Cheryl evening. Cheryl much better.

Thu Jan 13,1966 -- -6º, clear, clouding over toward night. Mended, made some fudge. Had oil put in today.

Fri Jan 14, 1966 -- 7º, mostly clear, warmer. Cooked, cleaned. Went down for neck trim at noon. We went up to see Cheryl and shopped evening.

Sat Jan 15, 1966 -- 8º, clear, nice cool day. Cooked, cleaned. Kept Kenny afternoon while Clint took Jean and boys to Woodstock to see Cheryl & shop. Here for supper. Perley in evening few minutes.

Thu Jan 20, 1966 -- 30º, up to 40º, cloudy with fine snow most of day. Mixed up cookies, made soup for Cheryl, Clint, Jean, Ethel, up to hospital evening. Ethel came up tonight, staying at Anderson's.

Fri Jan 21, 1966 -- 25º, cloudy with light fleecy snow nearly all day. Cleaned, cooked, made brownies for firemen's meeting. Clint attended. Mild day.

Sat Jan 22, 1966 -- 20º, cloudy, clearing afternoon, beautiful day, few snow flurries evening. Cooked. Clint & I took Jean & boys to hospital afternoon & on to Houlton shopping. Cheryl feeling fine, has break in jaw. Clint working tonight.

Sun Jan 23, 1966 -- 17º, cloudy with tiny amount of snow at noon. Attended SS in a.m. and church evening. Ethel in for supper. Perley went back early on account of storm warnings.

Mon Jan 24, 1966 -- 26º, cloudy with few snow flurries, strong gusty wind. Washed, cleaned. We went to hospital to see Cheryl, she is gaining fine and is very contented and happy.

Tue Jan 25, 1966 -- 24º, cloudy with a tiny bit of sleet and few snow flurries late afternoon. Shampooed. Mixed up doughnuts and ironed. Clint didn't feel too well and didn't eat supper, but is better.

Wed Jan 26, 1966 -- 13º, cloudy, clearing late afternoon. Mended some, called at Jean's afternoon. Jean went with us to hospital to see Cheryl, she is gaining, sits up to eat, took board from under her mattress.

Thu Jan 27, 1966 -- 7º, cloudy, light snow nearly all day. Defrosted fridge. Sewed some. Wrote letter evening. Dusty in awhile.

Fri Jan 28, 1966 -- 24º, snowed and drifted with strong wind all day. Mended. We picked over & sprouted potatoes & threshed beans evening. No school afternoon, buses went home at noon.

Sat Jan 29, 1966 -- 12º, cloudy with few light snow showers early evening. Cooked, cleaned, went down for neck trim early evening. Perley came home last evening, they up to hospital & shopped afternoon. Clint working tonight. Driveway plowed out, snow very deep.

Sun Jan 30, 1966 -- 24º, cloudy with fine mist at times and soft snow late evening & night. I baby sit for Jean while they & Clint went to hospital. Attended SS & church a.m. Power was of 3½ hours from 8:20 evening.

Mon Jan 31, 1966 -- 20º, mostly cloudy with heavy snow showers. Washed, hung on verandah, cleaned, cleaned lamps. Got oil put in. About 6 inches more snow came during night. Clint shovelled driveway evening.

Tue Feb 1, 1966 -- 12º, cloudy with snow flurries. Ironed, called at Jean's, made "snow balls" and took some up to Cheryl evening, also grapes and bananas.

Wed Feb 2, 1966 -- 23º, mostly cloudy, few fine spits of rain, mild. Called at Jean's twice, fixing skirt. Clifton & Hughie here changing motor on furnace fan and adjusting TV. Cloudy at noon. Clint shovelled off verandah roof.

Fri Feb 4, 1966 -- 22º, cloudy with very light snow fall most of day, very mild. Cooked, cleaned. Called at Jean's. We & Jean went to hospital to see Cheryl, took her a coconut cream pie & chocolate cookies.

Sat Feb 5, 1966 -- 17º, cloudy few snow flurries, clearing late afternoon. Cooked, cleaned. Clint worked afternoon. First real sunshine for two weeks.

Sun Feb 6, 1966 -- 10º, mostly cloudy, some snow flurries. Attended church evening and then a reel in Anglican church hall. Annie Mae went with us over to see Edna, had dinner & spent afternoon. Edna poorly.

Tue Feb 8, 1966 -- 0º, clear, mild, growing colder evening. Shampooed, ironed, called at Jean's afternoon. We went to hospital to see Cheryl, she is gaining but homesick & discouraged.

Wed Feb 9, 1966 -- 0º, clear, beautiful day. Fixing over a dress. Sadie called afternoon. Boys in tonight watching TV.

Thu Feb 10, 1966 -- 22º, partly clear, very mild. Sewed on my dress. Jean and I took Kenny down street on sled. Clipped my coupons at bank. Went down street for neck trim evening. Defrosted fridge.

Sat Feb 12, 1966 -- 32º, Mostly cloudy, mild. Cooked. We went to Woodstock afternoon to shop and see Cheryl. Drs. found she has rheumatic fever. Boys here evening. Perley & Jean went to North Lake.

Sun Feb 13, 1966 -- 15º, rained through night & early a.m., snow commenced about 4 p.m., about 4 inches fell. Attended SS & church a.m. Kenny here afternoon & evening, rest went to see Cheryl, took a TV. Called at Bert's.

Mon Feb 14, 1966 -- 31º, cloudy early, clearing near noon. Windy. Sewed & mended. Called at Jean's. Attended bible study evening. St. Valentine's day.

Tue Feb 15, 1966 -- 11º, clear, cool day. Washed. Jean called few minutes. Clint & I went to hospital tonight. Cheryl feeling fine.

Tue Feb 22, 1966 -- 0º, cloudy early with snow squalls, clearing about noon. Jean, boys & I went to Woodstock for boys to see dentist. Jean had eyes tested, changed bows but lenses all right. Shopped. Home supper time. Attended United church bible study at Manse.

Fri Feb 25, 1966 -- 10º, cloudy with snow commencing about 4:30 p.m. Cooked, cleaned. Called at Jean's few minutes afternoon. World Day of Prayer service in Anglican church, did not attend.

Sat Feb 26, 1966 -- 23º, cloudy with snow flurries, clearing afternoon, strong gusty wind, a foot of snow fell during night, piling up everywhere, terribly strong wind. Biggest blow of winter. Cooked. Perley not home yet, 9 o'clock.

Sun Feb 27, 1966 -- 17º, beautiful mild sunny day. Attended SS & church a.m. I went with Jean & children to see Cheryl, she is on crutches now. Clint & I called at Jean's evening.

Mon Feb 28, 1966 -- 20º, up to 47º. Mostly clear, beautiful day. Washed, cleaned. Attended bible study evening. Hung clothes on outer line today, first for some time. Bessie Shannon died evening.

Tue Mar 1, 1966 -- 33º, rained most of day. Some sleet came before daylight, making it terribly slippery. Ethel here for supper and evening. Called at Jean's at noon.

Wed Mar 2, 1966 -- 34º, mostly cloudy with few light showers of rain & snow. Jean and I went to hospital and brought Cheryl home, up there 7½ weeks. Called at Shannon's tonight. Clint out to fire at Hughie Smith place tonight.

Thu Mar 3, 1966 -- 32º, cloudy & windy, clearing afternoon. Attended Bessie Shannon's funeral service afternoon. Went down for neck trim late & called at Jean's short time. Roland Lutwick operated upon for appendicitis.

Fri Mar 4, 1966 -- 20º, clear, beautiful mild day. We went up to Jean's for Kenny's birthday evening. Cheryl gaining. Basil & Lala called few minutes.

Sat Mar 5, 1966 -- 31º, snowed a little during night and rained most of day. Cooked. Clint, Kirby & I went to Woodstock afternoon, shopped. Bruce Grant died during night.

Sun Mar 6, 1966 -- 32º, little snow & freezing mist fell during night. Misty all day. Roads getting bad, closed in places. Attended SS a.m. & church tonight. Clint called at Bruce Grant's, I visited with Bert.

Wed Mar 9, 1966 -- 3º, mostly clear, up to 40º. Sewed some. Made birthday cake for Jean and got ice cream & went up evening. Marion Hall & Nadine Gavel in evening too. Cheryl down few minutes afternoon.

Thu Mar 10, 1966 -- 15º, partly clear. Put a new zipper in Clint's red jacket. Kept Kenny afternoon & evening. Jean took Cheryl to have her 6 teeth out & a plate put in. Perley came home tonight, roads closed. Oil man here.

Fri Mar 11, 1966 -- 5º, mostly clear, strong breeze. Cooked, cleaned a.m. Went to town with Perley & Jean, took Cheryl to dentist to have plate adjusted. She isn't having any trouble with them.
